A break in March
A week off of school! A week to bond and spend glorious family time together! A week to bask in a warm feeling of togetherness, while simultaneously basking in the oddly extra warm winter sun! What a lovely time we’ve had together! Look at these boys, how much they love each other!
I’m totally lying. I could have posted the above and left it at brotherly togetherness in a tender moment. Except these photos represent 5 minutes where someone wasn’t crying. Which have been too few and far between. I can hear at least one of them crying right this minute! About how he has to put his pants in the laundry basket! So. Awesome.
Despite scheduling some fun playdates and activities, I’m feeling a little overwhelmed. It’s been a rather long week. And it’s about to get longer as Mark heads out of town for 4 days and my mother (who was going to come and hang out with us) can no longer stay due to illness.
(I’m on the computer, writing this post, as a means to escape all of them for a few minutes. Shhhhhh. I don’t want to be found.)
For my sanity, I recently purchased 4 weeks of summer camp for the older boys. I think it’s going to be the best investment I ever made. Until I go back to work, of course.
In the mean time, anyone wanna come hang out with us? I’ll be in the corner, rocking, likely un-showered and in pajamas, until Monday. Sweet Monday. When I’ll really appreciate packing school lunches and running up the street to beat the 9am bell. Really. I swear.
