OVERwhelmed: Fisher-Price Million Moments of Joy Contest
I was looking back at my old iPhoto files on the Mac, and I came across this gem. This would have been taken in November 2007, a time I can barely remember because I was SO very OVERwhelmed. I had a newborn and, oh yeah, another baby. Not even 2 years old yet. Talk about being in OVERmyhead.
It was the most intensive, stressful and frankly awful time I’ve ever had parenting. I was in way too deep. But now, of course, I can laugh heartily at the adorable smiling older brother holding the screaming red-faced baby brother. Mostly because five years later, you can still find them doing similar things. The intensity of their relationship today means that those moments of being OVERwhelmed, OVERstretched and OVERworked were all worth it. Well, mostly.
Fisher-Price is launching the Million Moments of Joy campaign which celebrates the REAL joys of motherhood. Because even the battle scars of having two kids in two years can be looked back on with pride.
The contest associated with the launch of this campaign, found here, began on March 5, 2013 but you still have time to enter and, I think, enter for six more weeks or so, with one prize package offered every week. The packages are valued at approximately $200 each and consist of:
1. My Little Snugabunny™ Bouncer (ARV $89.99 CAD)
2. Laugh & Learn™ Dance & Play Puppy (ARV $59.99 CAD)
3. Ocean Wonders™ Aquarium (ARV $54.99 CAD)
These are all great toys and gear for parents with new babies.
If you want to enter the Fisher-Price Million Moments of Joy contest, head to the site and upload a photo and caption of your own, to go with an OVER theme. For my own site entry (here!), I picked a more joyous moment of brotherhood than above and labelled it with ‘OVER the moon’. Because, yeah, it gets better.
Disclosure – I am participating in the Million Moments of Joy Blogger Campaign by Mom Central Canada on behalf of Fisher-Price. I received compensation as a thank you for participating and for sharing my opinion. The opinions on this blog are my own.
